NOTE: This will replace the Junior Pizza & Trophy night and the Senior Presentation Dinner.
*Valleys Netball Club encourages the responsible consumption of alcohol.
Tickets for players, coaches, managers & umpires will go on sale soon!
Initial ticket sales for each team will be available as follows -
All players
Coach/es & Manager OR
Manager & 1 Parent per team* (If a coach is a player and chooses to sit with that team, has more than 1 team or is not attending) OR
Coach & 1 Parent per team* (if the team has no Manager or is not attending) OR
2 Parents per team* (If neither the Coach or Manager is sitting with the team and/or attending)
We have done our best to find a venue that suits our wide range of ages, from 7 years to adults, and one that will also fit as many of our 450 plus members as possible.
Unfortunately, we will initially have to limit tickets to players, team officials and umpires as there is no venue that will seat all of these members as well as parents and/or partners. Parents and partners are welcome to enjoy dinner at the club’s restaurant or nearby venues.
All players will be fully supervised during the event and access in and out of the function room will be restricted and monitored.
* Applies to teams in age groups 7/8/9 to 13 years. Additional tickets will not initially be made be made available for parents of Cadet or Intermediate players.
Why is the dinner being held during the school holidays?
The dinner is being held on the first Saturday of the school holidays to avoid clashing with the Grand Final (6 September) and the finals back up day (14 September) as occurred last year. Scheduling the dinner was also dependent on the availability of a suitable venue.
Why are parents not able to attend?
After an exhaustive search last year, the Committee could not find a venue that -
was large enough to seat 480+ players, coaches, managers & umpires
provided a reasonably priced menu that suited members from 7 years +
did not require a minimum bar tab whether we wanted it or not
This has meant that, initially, parent (and partners) will not be able to buy tickets. Once we have an idea of how many players and officials are attending, we may be able to open up ticket sales to parents and partners.
Will young players be safe at the venue?
All players will be fully supervised during the event.
All junior teams (13 years and younger) will be required to have a minimum of 2 'supervisors'. This can be a mix of Coach/es, Managers and parents (where the coach and/or manager are not attending or are sitting with another team).
All tickets holders will be issued with a wrist band and access in and out of the function room will be restricted to those with a wristband.
Bathrooms are available within the function room so there is no need to leave the room to use the amenities.
